As a first year student at NTU, studying fashion communication and promotion, I was asked to complete a task prior to my arrival to the course. This task involved gathering examples of fashion communication touchpoints. What is a touchpoint? A touchpoint is a way in which the consumer can interact with a business allowing them to form an opinion of the brand from the outside. An example would be through social medias such as Instagram. Finding three examples of printed, digital and retail fashion communication wasn't such an easy task. It got me to make the transition from consumer to a more visually aware creative. It encouraged me to analyse others work in a way I have never done before. The task encouraged criticism of work and design houses which I respect. It definitely encouraged me to step into different shoes and therefore proved to be a worthy task introducing me to the world of FCP.
