Make A Statement

A current trend I have that has been taking over my daily Instagram binge is the transition from minimalism to maximalism. It is the reincarnation of bold prints. Over the last few weeks I have noticed that the modern minimal look is fading from the streets and is being replaced with bold patterns making a huge statement. I am loving this new trend as I was finding the whole plain jane trend boring. I am not one to wear the bold fashion trends but this is one I can get onboard with. Adding a bold pattern and experimenting with colour from the ankle down allows you to be creative and playful without needing to purchase an entire new wardrobe (perfect for my student budget). ASOS has to be my go to place for this trend. I first discovered these amazing shoes through their Instagram feed, which I vigorously stalk. As an FCP student I have become more visually aware of how great the fashion photography of ASOS Instagram account is and have fallen in love with the way in which they communicate their products. These jazzy ankle boots are just one of the amazing examples of ASOS promotion. However, I am a bit bored of tropical leaves on a pink background. Anyway, this new trend is one that I predict will explode on the streets and everyones ankles will be the main attraction of A/W 16.
