University - A Month On

It has now officially been a month since I became a student at Nottingham Trent University but it strangely feels like longer. I can honestly say that it has exceeded all expectations and ideas of what I thought uni life would be like... in a good way of course. Here is a list of things I have learnt/ realised in my first month of university:
1. Your flatmates become your family - I know it seems hard to believe that after a month people can become as close as family members but I can honestly say that my flat mates are my best friends and I don't know what I would do without them.
2. Sunday dinner ready meals aren't the same - you will live for the day you have a home cooked roast dinner. The microwave version just makes you want them more.
3. Fresher's flu is not a myth - It is definitely not a myth and it will infect your flat more than once. I am currently on my second burst of it :(
4. Fresher's week will drain your bank account so be prepared - the first week is all about bonding with your flat mates and getting to know each other and the best way to do that is over drinks, however it does get rather expensive so just beware.
5. Introduction week is a must go - I know some friends that didn't attend their induction week during fresher's however it is vital in your first semester as it allows you to fully understand the course you have chosen and provides tasters into the content.
Overall, my first month at NTU has been an amazing experience and I look forward to the next!
