2016 saw the loss of many famous faces and icons in the fashion industry. Game changers like Bowie and Italian Vogue editor Richard Nicoll shocked the world with their unexpected deaths. However, the fashion industry was deeply saddened by the death of the king of fashion street photography. Bill was an iconic figure amongst the streets of New York City with a career no one will be able to match. Bill was known for his friendly persona with a relaxed approach to his photography capturing fashion from all angles. As the year draws to a close, I wanted to share some of my favourite photographs taken by Bill in honour of his passing earlier in the year.

I am a great fan of street photography and Bill Cunningham is a great inspiration to me. His approach he took with people and the simplistic way he took his photographs is something I will apply to my own work.
