Fragrance Project: The Photoshoot

As part of our fragrance part we were given the opportunity to experience a studio photoshoot and interacting with a photographer to create our executions. The outcome intended of our photoshoot was a print advert for the fragrance brand we have created. It was important for us to be prepared for the shoot to make the most out of our short time slot. In order to prepare we created a brief for the photographer to make sure they fully understood our creative concept as well as our brand. This helped him understand the outcome we were aiming for. Along with the brief we also created a moodboard, illustrating some of the shot set ups we wanted to create and the lighting we wanted to achieve. This helped visualise, to the photographer, our ideas. Also in preparation for the shoot I conducted some test shots of one of our best creative concepts to further help visualise our aesthetic to the photographer. This helped us to achieve our desired concept on a more professional level.


As a team we felt we used our time effectively in the photoshoot and feel it was due to the preparation we did. The photoshoot was a great experience and has furthered my interest in art direction.
