Mario Testino: Towel Series

Mario Testino's Instagram has become a "liberating lens" giving people the freedom to express a personal side to them through behind the scenes snaps of his photoshoots. His towel series began over 2 years ago when he noticed Kate Moss on set of one of his shoots wearing a white robe and a white towel on. He causally photographer her and began his towel series exclusively published to his Instagram. I think it is a great way of making a professional photographer's instagram more personal and real. We don't just see the final outcome of his well planned shoots, we see the experience models have whilst on shoot and all the work put into his shoots. It also shows a different side to the models that isn't so perfect and put together. Here are some examples of celebrities part of #towelseries.
