Today marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic death of Princess Diana. An icon to the people, in fashion and as a mother. Her legacy still remains with us today in both life and fashion. Her style was very iconic during the 1980's and 90's until her death, influencing many young people and even today it is still clear some of the trends worn by her are repeated in current fashion trends.

Diana had many iconic looks that will always be remembered in fashion history however, she was also a normal woman living a regular life doing day to day activities. Her style spoke to the public and was relatable but she also had her moments of glamour. Both iconic. Here are some of my favourites:

Diana's wedding gown, designed by the Emmanuels, is an obvious iconic fashion moment of hers. The 25ft long train made a huge statement as she arrived to her wedding. The large sleeves and frills were also an iconic statement of the time period,, influencing many other designers and brides.

I chose to feature this look of Diana's because of the colour combination. The pink and red/orange colour clash has been a large part of trends this year. The cross over shape of the top she is wearing has also been a particularly popular style of summer styles. This just shows how fashion trends come back around.

This casual look by Diana also reminded me of summer 2017 trends with the gingham print and the bright pink shade. This is an outfit that could have been photographed this year.

Diana's revenge dress is possibly one of the most iconic looks she wore. This style is definitely not typical of a royal, which is part of what made it so iconic. The confidence she wore with this dress just made the people fall in love with her even more.
